How to roast spiced sunflower seeds with belt food dryer
Spiced sunflower seeds have become a popular snack among a large number of people. If you’re interested in producing this crispy and delicious snack, then the following production method using a belt food dryer may be of interest to you.
To begin, add water to a pot and place a seasoning bag containing Chinese prickly ash, aniseed, cinnamon, cloves, and edible salt in it. Boil the water with medium heat for approximately 20 minutes until the flavor of the seasoning bag dissolves in the water. Once that’s done, add the sunflower seeds after washing them, and stir fully to ensure that the seasoning is evenly mixed with the seeds. Cover the pot and heat over high heat until the sunflower seeds are fully cooked. After that, stop heating and cover the pot for about 30 minutes.
The next step is to drain the boiled sunflower seeds after seasoning, and then roast them using a multilayer belt food dryer. Spread the sunflower seeds evenly on the first layer of rack with a thickness of 4cm. After 15 minutes, preliminary dehumidification of sunflower seeds can be achieved. Then, turn the control spanner to turn the sunflower seeds of the first layer rack to the second layer and continue roasting. Put new sunflower seeds on the first layer and continue roasting layer by layer in this way. The roasting time for sunflower seeds on the fourth layer is approximately 15 minutes.
